Things That Don't Fit in a Kitchen
“Things That Don’t Fit in a Kitchen” follows Casey Liang, a second generation Chinese American who struggles with his identity. He often feels too white for Chinese people, and too Chinese for white people, until the figures in his life help set him on a path to see where he fits in.
"This started out as a project for one of my writing classes for film school, and I liked how I crafted the story so much that I decided to actually film it instead of just leaving it as a grade. This film encapsulates my experience as a second generation Asian American, as well as relates to other kids of immigrants as well. Everyone involved worked very hard on this project and I hope that everyone enjoys."
