Education and Studies

Reece Moseley is an recent graduate from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Composition. His academic career has been marked by significant recognition. He is the recipient of the 2025 Roger C. Vogel Theory and Composition Award for excellence in composition and was selected through competitive evaluation as the 2025-2026 UGA Large Ensemble Composer-in-Residence.

Concert & Orchestral Works

Reece’s concert repertoire spans orchestral, choral, and chamber ensembles. One of his major career highlights includes Beyond the Names They Call Me, a full orchestral work commissioned and workshopped by Robert Spano and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra in March 2025. He has also written for voice, including multiple commissions for the UGA Hodgson Singers under the direction of Dr. Daniel Bara, and chamber works for specialized ensembles like the contemporary duo LIGAMENT.

Film Scoring & Media Production

As the owner of HBS Studios LLC, Reece actively scores to media. His extensive filmography includes a featurette film Painted Shadows, which earned a festival award for "Best Original Score" at the 2026 London Vision Film Festival. Beyond composing, he produced and directed the 2024 HBS Film Festival at the historic Morton Theatre in Athens, managing technical operations and logistics for participating filmmakers.

Education & Leadership

Reece is a trained percussionist and applies his performance background to instruction. He serves as the Percussion Coordinator for Seckinger High School and has previously worked at Mill Creek High School as a Batterie Technician and at Janfest, hosted by UGA Bands. He is also an active volunteer and recurring panelist at the Southern-Fried Gaming Expo, where he has presented on the linguistic and social mechanics of deduction games.
